About Us

Dependability. Experience. Diligence.

RMC Engineering was formed in 2014 with the vision of providing premium electrical and controls engineering services to the Alaskan industrial marketplace. Prior to starting the company, RMC’s founders saw what they believed to be a void in companies with the capabilities to provide customers with quality turnkey systems in Alaska’s logistically difficult environment that continue to remain reliable after project completion. With that goal in mind, RMC has since been raising the bar year-after-year by surpassing expectations for some of Alaska’s most demanding clients on some of their most challenging projects.

Vince McElmurry

Originally hailing from Oregon, Vince relocated to Alaska during his childhood and remained there until he enlisted in the Navy after completing high school. During his military service, Vince gained valuable insights into various mechanical and electrical systems at a military level, focusing on their integration to ensure operational readiness.

Following an honorable discharge from the Navy, Vince embarked on higher education at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, earning a degree in electrical engineering. Concurrently, he worked as an electrician, applying practical knowledge that complemented his theoretical learning.

After graduating from UAF, Vince, accompanied by his wife Anna and son John, returned to Juneau. Over the following years, they welcomed their second child, Isla. Vince then spent six years working for a local controls engineering company, honing his skills. Eventually, he and his friend Blake founded RMC in 2014.
